From April 20th, "Disinfection Station - Burgas" is starting aerial disinsection treatments against mosquito larvae in the Burgas lakes area, using an agricultural drone for this purpose.

The practice of recent years shows that this method is among the most effective for treating hard-to-reach terrains and sensitive biotope zones, such as the lakes around Burgas. It is expected that through timely measures, the mosquito population will be significantly limited at an early stage.

The treatments will be carried out in the period from April 20th to 30th, between 06:00 and 10:00, under suitable meteorological conditions. Burgas Municipality clarifies that they are ready to respond to signals from citizens, and a specialized team will also work in parallel with the planned activities to treat problematic areas.
