The event will take place starting at 13:00 at the Ethnographic Exhibition of the Regional Historical Museum - Burgas, located at 69 Slavyanska St., and is aimed at students from the Commercial High School – Burgas.

The "Written History" project is part of the broader "Apostles of Liberation" initiative, which aims to digitize the handwriting of our national heroes. Stoilka Arsova, Director of "National Card and Payment Scheme – bcard blink," is the leading figure and driving force behind this endeavor. According to her, every manuscript serves as a living testament to the spirit of its era, and by converting it into a digital font, it gains the ability to speak directly to our time. "I am looking forward with excitement to meeting the students in Burgas and having the opportunity to discuss how we can preserve the memory of the past while simultaneously turning it into a living part of our modern lives," Arsova shares.

During the meeting, participants will be introduced to digital fonts created based on the authentic handwriting of Georgi S. Rakovski, Hristo Botev, and Vasil Levski. Special attention will be given to the work of Dr. Zhaklina Zhekova—a font designer, professor at the National Academy of Arts, and calligrapher, who is part of the project team and will serve as a guest lecturer. She will reveal to those present how the process of researching, analyzing, and recreating historical manuscripts in digital form unfolds. Dr. Zhekova is currently working on two new digitized fonts dedicated to Princess Rayna: one is inspired by her handwriting in manuscripts, while the other is based on the lettering from her tapestries and embroideries.

The technology used to move original historical documents through the stages of research and digitization will also be demonstrated. The goal is to transform these documents into modern tools with practical applications in the fields of creative projects, design, cultural initiatives, and education.
