Three cars crashed on the main road from Burgas to the Sarafovo district just after 9:20pm, blocking traffic. Early reports say no one was hurt and the damage is only to the cars.
The crash happened a few metres before the Northern bypass. The Nissan and the Volkswagen took the worst damage, with all their airbags going off. The Mercedes C-Class came away almost unscathed.
Traffic police are at the scene directing cars around the wreck. A tow truck is pulling the wrecked cars away one by one to clear the road.
Witnesses say the Nissan ended up in the oncoming lane, facing back toward Burgas.
Police have yet to work out what caused the crash and who was at fault.
