The Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Waters in Shumen kindly requests citizens to provide only reliable information when reporting sightings of a wild cat in the Shumen Plateau Nature Park. Each report is checked immediately, but unfounded calls hinder the work of the employees.

The authorities in the city of Shumen are appealing to the citizens and guests of the city for assistance in the activities related to the capture of a predator from the "Wild Cats" order, spotted in the Shumen Plateau Nature Park. They call on anyone who calls 112 or the green phone of the Regional Inspectorate of Environment and Waters (RIEW) - Shumen, to provide only reliable information as a direct eyewitness, as each signal is immediately verified by the designated employees, which requires the involvement of human and financial resources.

RIEW - Shumen continues to actively participate in the search activities. The authorities call on the citizens and guests of Shumen to show understanding and solidarity with the work of the employees who are on the ground around the clock and verify every signal received about the animal.
