On the night of April 26, Russia attacked Ukraine with 114 drones and three missiles, including "Onyx". Ukrainian air defense shot down most of the unmanned aerial vehicles.
This is reported by Burgasmedia, citing information from the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"On the night of April 26, the enemy attacked with an anti-ship missile "Onyx", two anti-radar missiles Kh-31P, and 114 strike UAVs," the message says.
The targets were launched from the areas of Kursk, Millerovo, Orel, and Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
How did the air defense work?
The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare equipment, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
"As of 10:00, the downing of 66 Shahed-type strike UAVs (and other types of unmanned aerial vehicles) in the east, north, south, and center of the country has been confirmed," the military noted.
In addition, 31 enemy drone-imitator was locationally lost.
Consequences of Russia's attack on Ukraine
As a result of the enemy attack, Kirovohrad, Kharkiv, Kyiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions were affected.
Specifically, in the city of Kamyanske, the number of victims as a result of the attack has increased to four people. There is also one victim.
Warehouses were also damaged in Kropyvnytskyi. Work is underway to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
