Burgas regional election commission (RIK) has removed two members of the polling station commission in the village of Dobra Polyana, Ruen municipality, and cancelled their credentials, the RIK said. The two left the polling station on election day and did not return.

They walked out of the voting room at about 8am today, saying they had work to do. Almost an hour later, the head of the polling station commission told the RIK they were gone.

The RIK checked at once. One of its representatives phoned the two, and they confirmed they were not at the polling station and were not doing their duties.

The Burgas RIK says the two broke the Electoral Code. Members of polling station commissions must carry out the tasks they are given for organising and running the elections, the commission said.
