The Burgas regional election commission (RIK) has ordered the mayor of Sozopol to remove two campaign items for presidential candidates, one in Sozopol and one in the village of Zidarovo, the commission said. It issued the orders right after checking two complaints.

The first order, for an LED display on Apolonia Street, came straight after the check. The display is next to the entrance of a polling station commission (SIK), less than 50 metres away. It shows the face of a presidential candidate, his ballot number and the slogan of the ticket.

In Zidarovo, the check found a poster on an electricity pole by the entrance of the polling station commission (SEK), more than 100 metres away. The poster shows the faces of the presidential and vice-presidential candidates, a slogan and their ballot number.

Both items also carry the line "Buying and selling votes is a crime".

Sozopol mayor must take down the items under the commission's orders.
