President Rumen Radev commented on the Constitutional Court's decision, calling it a victory. He criticized the actions of the parliament and called for adherence to the law and the will of the people.

The Constitutional Court (CC) ruling is a victory for the law over the arbitrary actions of the political class. This was stated by President Rumen Radev, commenting on the court's decision concerning a previous case. The court ruled that the President's proposal for a referendum should have been put to discussion in the plenary hall.

The President emphasized the importance of the decision, stating: "The decision of the Constitutional Court is a victory of law over the arbitrariness of the political class. These decisions are binding and have retroactive effect, clearly establishing that the Chairman of the National Assembly cannot reject proposals from a subject empowered by law". His words underscore his belief that the CC's decision has significant legal importance and establishes important principles.

Radev assessed the current actions of the parliament as a farce and a new violation of the law on the same case. Observers note a tense atmosphere in the parliament as the debates continue.

"What is happening this morning in parliament is a farce - a new violation of the law on the same case. The justifications that the proposal cannot be submitted and voted on in the plenary hall are untrue. My motives have not been returned, they remain in the registry", he added.

According to the information provided by the President, he has only received a copy of the order of the Chairman of the National Assembly from a certain date, while his proposals and motives remain available in the parliament.

The President called on the members of parliament to take action. He offered specific help to facilitate the process: "I can help them with the incoming number, so that they can take my proposal and my motives, bring them to the plenary hall and vote on them. They must clearly state - will they comply with the will of the people or will they ignore it". He concluded with a critical assessment of the work of the parliament: "Unfortunately, this parliament creates lawlessness, scandals and disgust instead of laws".
