Radev on the Protests: Resignation is Urgent, Early Elections are the Only Way

The deep discontent of the Bulgarian people poured out into the squares. Thousands chanted "Resignation", regardless of attempts at intimidation and division. President Rumen Radev, in an address to the nation, stated that the reason for the protests lay in the expectation of justice, dignity, and care for the future.

Radev emphasized that the protests are not only against the budget, but against the captured state, corruption, and the refusal of politicians to hear the voice of the people. He condemned governance through money, compromising materials, and fear, as well as the complacency of the oligarchy.

The President called for unity and a will for change, underlining that Bulgaria needs real change that leads to the rule of law. He concluded with a call for the resignation of those in power and early elections as the only way forward: "Long live Bulgaria!"
