Nomination for Member of the Supreme Judicial Council
Prosecutor from the District Prosecutor's Office – Burgas, Blagovest Vangelov, has been officially nominated as an elective member of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) from the prosecutors' quota.
"With his high level of professionalism and integrity as a member of the SJC, he will defend the interests of magistrates, employees, and the judicial system," his colleagues state in the reasoning.
Professional Background and Experience
- Over 20 years of legal experience.
- 14 years of experience within the system of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Bulgaria.
- Worked in the prosecutor's offices in Momchilgrad, Sredets, Burgas, and Pomorie.
- Current magistrate at the District Prosecutor's Office – Burgas.
Election Procedure
The candidacy comes in the context of the new amendments to the Judicial System Act. According to the adopted schedule, the general meeting of prosecutors for the election of SJC members is scheduled for October 17, and the voting will take place on October 24.

Ами, честно казано... малко ме е яд като го прочетох това. Двадесет години на едно място? Дали наистина е толкова "висок морал" или просто... нещо друго има? Не казвам, че задължително е корумпиран Вангелов, разбира се. Но 20 години в една и съща прокуратура, без ротация, без да си смени въздуха – все едно да си затворен в стая, нали разбирате?
