According to information provided by BTA, which cites data from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH), the weather will be dominated by clear skies with insignificant cloudiness.
Detailed forecast for the day
More specifically, in the afternoon, slight cumulus clouds will appear, but they will be limited mainly to the mountainous regions and will not completely obscure the overall sunny feeling. A light wind will blow throughout the day, reaching a moderate level in the eastern regions of the country. Its direction will be from the south-southeast, bringing warm air from the southern latitudes.
The mercury in the thermometers will continue to rise, with the maximum daily temperatures ranging between 31° and 36°. For the residents and guests of Sofia, the temperature is expected to reach about 32°. These high values are typical for this time of year. At the same time, the atmospheric pressure will slowly decrease, remaining lower than the monthly average.
Weather on the Black Sea coast and in the mountains
The mood on the Black Sea coast will also be entirely summery, with the forecast promising sunny weather and a light breeze. The wind will be southeasterly, with a moderate strength. The maximum temperatures along the coast will be between 27° and 30°, creating ideal conditions for beach and relaxation. The sea water temperature is also extremely pleasant, ranging between 25° and 26°. The sea swell will be weak to moderate - 2-3 Beaufort, which makes the conditions for swimming safe.
- The mountain ranges will also enjoy sunny weather, despite the appearance of slight cumulus clouds in the afternoon.
- Tourists and mountain hiking enthusiasts will be able to enjoy hikes with a moderate to strong southwesterly wind.
- The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will reach 26°, while at 2000 meters it will be about 17°.
