PP-DB insist on the dismissal of the Deputy Governor of the NHIF

"Democratic Bulgaria" is officially submitting a request for the dismissal of the Deputy Governor of the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF), Momchil Mavrov. According to Ivaylo Mirchev, he is a symbol of the corrupt practices in the Bulgarian healthcare system, which the new administration promised to eliminate.

"The change of the model is not happening. This can be emblematically seen in healthcare, where the people who were the symbols of this model continue to hold key positions," Mirchev stated.

Arguments for the resignation

  • Revoked powers from the NHIF Governor due to systematic violations.
  • Overpricing of services in the information technology sector.
  • Obstructing inspections in the regional health insurance funds in Pazardzhik and Plovdiv.

Issue with quotas in the CEC

Bozhidar Bozhanov also raised the issue of an error made in the President's decree regarding the distribution of quotas in the Central Election Commission (CEC). According to him, the current distribution is incorrect.

  • PP-DB insists on a correction of the methodology.
  • According to them, the correct distribution should be three seats for PP-DB and one for DPS.
  • An official letter has been sent to the Presidency pointing out specific legal inconsistencies.
