Police in Pomorie have detained a 14-year-old boy from Kableshkovo over three house break-ins, and three men from the village of Bata who siphoned diesel from construction machinery.
The first break-in in Kableshkovo was at the end of August. Police say the boy got into the home of a 45-year-old woman, threw her belongings around and caused damage. Over the next few days he climbed through open windows at two other local homes and took €200 and €160. The teenager has admitted everything.
The three men from Bata are aged 22, 23 and 25. At the end of September, an excavator belonging to a private firm building a water pipeline in the village of Laka lost 140 litres of diesel. Police say the three men drained it.
The two older men also stole a total of 1,000 litres of diesel from machines repairing the municipal road between Goritsa and Poroy. There was also an attempt to steal from parked construction machinery in the centre of Poroy. All three have confessed.
Six used tyres disappeared on 13 October from a car repair shop on Krayezerna street in Burgas. Officers from the Second District Police Department solved the theft.
The suspect is a 34-year-old Burgas man with a criminal record, who was driving a car with Burgas plates.
Follow-up: Man, 34, held over theft of six tyres from Burgas garage
