Parliament Discusses Budget 2026: Zhelyazkov and Petkova at the Tribune

The Parliament continues the discussion on the first reading of the draft law on the state budget for 2026. In the plenary hall are Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and ministers from the cabinet. 

Currently, the Minister of Finance, Temenuzhka Petkova, is presenting the parameters of the draft budget to the members of parliament. 

Yesterday, only the reports of the parliamentary committees on the first draft budget of the state in euros were read in the plenary hall, and the debate was left for today's plenary session. Before that, the MPs adopted on first reading the draft budgets of the state social security and the National Health Insurance Fund for 2026.

The MPs decided to extend the legislative part of today's session until the debate is exhausted and the draft law on the state budget for 2026 is voted on. After that, regular parliamentary control is planned with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister Grozdan Karadzhov and ministers Temenuzhka Petkova, Daniel Mitov, Ivan Ivanov, Krasimir Valchev, Marian Bachev, Georgi Takhov, Petar Dilov, Zhecho Stankov and Manol Genov.
