"Even Realities" co-founder and COO "Wang Li" presented the company's vision and how users interact with its smart glasses during the "Beyond Expo 2026" in Macau. The Shenzhen startup's appearance comes as it positions its AI-integrated glasses as a rival to "Meta" and "Apple" in an increasingly saturated wearable electronics market.
The company is attempting to distinguish itself with a specific approach – instead of relying on cameras and sensor arrays, it prioritizes discretion and data privacy.
No cameras or microphones: privacy as a hallmark
"Even Realities" occupies a unique niche by intentionally omitting cameras and microphones from its smart glasses – a sharp contrast to "Meta's" "Ray-Ban" line, where the focus is on photo and video recording. In early May, CEO "Will Wang" told "Forbes" that "many companies in the smart glasses sector are striving for complexity, integrating cameras and sensors, which can ultimately degrade the user experience," adding that the company's goal is "to create a product that enhances daily life without detaching the person from it."
Instead of recording the surroundings, the glasses offer unobtrusive AI features that run in the background to assist with conversations, navigation, and access to information, without turning the user into a "walking camera."
Even G2 and the Even R1 smart ring: features and awards
The company's latest product – the "Even G2" glasses – hit the market in November 2025 along with the "Even R1" smart ring. Compared to the previous generation, the G2's display is 75% larger, the model has an "IP67" protection rating, and provides up to two days of battery life on a single charge.
Priced at $599, the "Even G2" won the "CES 2026 Innovation Award". At the heart of the device are features powered by artificial intelligence: synchronous translation, navigation prompts, and the "Conversate" contextual AI assistant, which offers follow-up questions and additional information during conversations when needed.
Fierce competition on the stage in Macau
"Beyond Expo 2026", held from May 27 to 30 at the "Cotai Expo" in "The Venetian Macao", has become an arena where smart glasses manufacturers compete for visibility and investor interest. At the same event, "XREAL" CEO "Xu Chi" predicted an "iPhone-like moment" for AI glasses and announced a long-term partnership with "Google", with the first joint products expected to launch later this year.
A consensus is gradually forming in the sector: the road to the mass market passes not through heavy and complex mixed reality devices, but through light, comfortable form factors with deeply integrated artificial intelligence.
The big players and the Even Realities bet
"Mark Zuckerberg" has repeatedly called AI smart glasses the "next great computing platform", while "Apple" continues to develop its ambitions in the AR glasses space in parallel with "Vision Pro". Against this backdrop, "Even Realities" is betting on a different combination – high-end European optics aesthetics, minimalist design, and a strict priority on privacy.

The startup is banking on this focus to allow it to distinguish itself from much larger competitors during its global expansion – especially among users who want an AI assistant on their face but do not wish to be constantly recorded by cameras and microphones.
