The Municipality of Pomorie bans construction activities along the Black Sea coast for the summer season.

Based on the Black Sea Coast Development Act and a decision of the Municipal Council, the Mayor of Pomorie Municipality, Ivan Alexiev, issues an order for immediate suspension of all construction activities in the city and the neighboring Aheloy for the period from June 15 to September 15, 2025. Exceptions are made only for urgent emergency repair and geo-protection measures, as well as for several specific projects of public importance.

The order prohibits construction and installation works in resort complexes, vacation settlements, and other tourist sites outside the boundaries of populated areas. An exception is allowed only for the construction and renovation of areas for widespread public use, reconstruction of streets and sidewalks, modernization of the educational environment in schools, construction of a youth center, and energy renovation of residential and public buildings.

Mayor Alexiev states that the purpose of the order is to ensure peace and safety for residents and tourists during the summer season. He assigns the control over the implementation of the order to the Deputy Mayor for Construction and Investments, Eng. Kiril Gaydov.

The order is subject to appeal before the Administrative Court of Burgas within 14 days, but the appeal does not suspend its effect. It will be announced on the information board of the municipal administration and on the official website of the Municipality of Pomorie.
