Fire Service Activity: 191 calls in 24 hours

The General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" (GDFSCP) reported a busy 24-hour period. The teams responded to a total of 191 incident reports across the country.

A total of 68 fires were completely extinguished by firefighters over the last 24 hours.

Statistics of fires with material damage

  • 9 fires in residential buildings;
  • 2 in auxiliary buildings;
  • 2 in vehicles;
  • 1 in an outdoor facility;
  • 2 other incidents.

Fires without direct material damage

The majority of the calls were for fires in dry grass, forest litter, and waste:

  • 30 fires in dry grass and bushes;
  • 13 in waste;
  • 9 other fires.

Rescue activities and assistance

In addition to fighting fires, the teams carried out 117 rescue activities and assistance operations. These include:

  • Response to accidents;
  • Removal of hazardous objects;
  • Drainage and assistance to citizens.

Unfortunately, one person was injured during the incidents. Six false calls to the fire services were also registered.
