The caretaker Council of Ministers appointed Dimitar Ivanov as Consul General in Niš and Petar Petrov in Bitola. They will be responsible for consular services, relations with local authorities, and support for Bulgarian communities.

The outgoing Council of Ministers appointed new consuls general of Bulgaria in Nis, Serbia, and Bitola, Republic of North Macedonia.

Dimitar Petrov Ivanov has been appointed Consul General in Nis. He has experience as a diplomat, including as a former Consul General in Bitola and Director of the "Security" Directorate. Ivanov is an engineer by education and speaks English and Russian.

The Consulate General in Nis will serve Bulgarian citizens, maintain contacts with local authorities and support the Bulgarian national minority.

Petar Petrov has been appointed Consul General in Bitola. Petrov has many years of experience as a diplomat in the Western Balkans region. He has held positions in Bulgarian diplomatic missions in Sarajevo, Pristina and Skopje.

The Consulate General in Bitola will provide consular services to Bulgarian citizens, maintain contacts with local authorities and work for the development of bilateral relations, support for the Bulgarian community and the preservation of Bulgarian cultural and historical heritage.
