New success in the fight against cancer: The Match of Hope raised 348,447 euros

The Stiliyan Petrov Foundation is proud to announce the official results from the second edition of the charity "Match of Hope," which took place in Burgas. Thanks to the exceptional support of the Bulgarian public, partners, and the sports community, the initiative raised an impressive 348,447 euros.

"The success of the second edition is a natural continuation of the cause that united all of Bulgaria," the foundation team shared.

Where will the funds go?

  • To support dozens of people in Bulgaria fighting oncological diseases.
  • To modernize and support the operations of the Comprehensive Oncology Center in Burgas.
  • To provide direct assistance to football legends Lyuboslav Penev and Petar Hubchev in their personal battles.

Over 800,000 euros in total aid for Bulgarian patients

During the first historic "Match of Hope" in Sofia (September 6, 2023), 460,000 euros were raised. With the new proceeds, the total amount raised by the foundation now exceeds 800,000 euros.

The cause continues: Charity auction

The good news is that the initiative does not end here. In the coming weeks, a large-scale charity auction will be launched, where fans and collectors will be able to bid on valuable jerseys and personal items belonging to the football legends who participated in the event.
