Burgas Airport administration has categorically rejected reports of a potential crash following sightings of thick, dark smoke from an aircraft in the skies above the city. Airport officials confirmed that the situation is completely calm and there is no data regarding any incident or emergency situation.

According to airport representatives, the aircraft in question is an An-12 model—an older type of aircraft where "more visible dark smoke from exhaust gases is not an unusual phenomenon and is not, in itself, a sign of technical failure." They emphasized that "there was neither an emergency on board the aircraft nor were any actions taken at the airport due to an incident."

The airport administration urged citizens not to spread unconfirmed information that creates unnecessary tension, providing assurance that "in the event of a genuine emergency, the public will be informed in a timely manner."
