The summer tourist season in Bulgaria is showing resilience and dynamism, with the initial lag in visitor numbers now fully overcome. Minister of Tourism Ilin Dimitrov announced that data from the Unified Tourist Information System points to an optimistic end to the season.

"If we continue the good work together with businesses and local communities, I expect that with good weather in September, we will even see growth by the end of the season," Dimitrov stated during his visit to Lozenets.

• Compensating for the decline: The initial shortfall of 200,000 tourists has been made up.
• Occupancy: Black Sea resorts are operating at excellent occupancy rates.
• Active promotion: The Ministry of Tourism is planning large-scale campaigns with celebrities to promote the destination.

Parallel to the growth in tourism, Bulgaria is also focusing on high quality in culinary arts. During the "Art Potok" festival, the best restaurants on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast for 2026 were presented according to the ranking of "Travel and Lifestyle" magazine.

The awarded establishments were evaluated based on strict criteria, including food quality, level of service, and the overall guest experience. The initiative aims to establish the Bulgarian coast not only as a place for relaxation but also as a leading culinary destination in Europe.
