Burgas and the region

In Burgas and the region, July 31st will begin with mostly sunny weather and summer temperatures. The maximum air temperature will be around 29°-31°, and in the more inland parts of the region, brief cloudiness is possible in the afternoon, but the probability of precipitation remains low. The wind will be from the east-northeast, light to moderate, with temporary increases along the coast.

Sofia and the region

Western Bulgaria

In Western Bulgaria, the day will be the most dynamic. The morning will start relatively calmly, but powerful cumulo-nimbus clouds will develop in the afternoon, bringing short-term but intense rain, thunderstorms, and a risk of hail in some places. Temperatures will remain around 24°-28°, lower where rain starts earlier.

The wind will be moderate, with temporarily strong and gusty directions during storms. There is no sea water, so no swimming flag applies.

In the mountains

In the mountains, the weather will be unstable and suitable for early hikes, but not for long afternoon routes. Temperatures will be around 19° at 1200 meters and around 12° at 2000 meters. Afternoon rain and thunderstorms are likely, especially in the western ranges and the Rhodopes.

The wind will be from the north-northeast, with strong gusts possible during storms. There is no sea water, so no swimming assessment applies.

Black Sea coast

Along the Black Sea coast, it will remain sunny and pleasant, with temporary increases in cloudiness in the afternoon hours. Maximum temperatures will be between 27° and 29°, and the wind will blow moderately from the east-northeast. Expectations are for a calm sea day, without significant rain.
