New hope for patients: KOC-Burgas receives a major donation from the "Stiliyan Petrov" Foundation
The medical equipment promised by the "Stiliyan Petrov" Foundation has been delivered to the Complex Oncology Center (KOC) – Burgas. The modern equipment is fully ready for operation and will be used by the team of specialists in the fight against oncological diseases.
"The donation is worth a total of 111,180 euros and is fully tailored to the needs of the medical facility," the center's management stated.
What does the modern equipment include?
- A system for precise localization of suspicious tissues, increasing diagnostic accuracy;
- A high-precision semi-automatic microtome – an indispensable tool for histopathology and pathological anatomy;
- Two modern ultrasound systems, optimized specifically for the needs of oncological examinations.

The equipment was selected after consultations with the doctors at KOC – Burgas to ensure that it would address the specific needs of the hospital. Thanks to this gesture, the center significantly expands its capabilities for early detection, precise tissue evaluation, and effective patient monitoring.
