Burgas is preparing to host Eurovision 2027. The BHRA sees the event as a unique opportunity to extend the tourist season and promote the Bulgarian Black Sea coast.

Eurovision 2027: Bulgaria in the Spotlight

Hosting Eurovision 2027 in Burgas is a pivotal moment for our country. Representatives of the Bulgarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (BHRA) emphasize that this is a chance to showcase our hospitality, culture, and traditions to the entire world.

"We have a huge opportunity to present our country in all areas, and we will truly know whether we have succeeded in 2028," shared Georgi Shterev, Chairman of the BHRA.

Key priorities for successful organization:

  • Transport infrastructure: Ensuring connectivity between resorts through sea transport and regular shuttles to the contest venue.
  • Extending the season: Using the event to "fill the shoulder seasons" and attract tourists outside the peak summer months.
  • Price control: Businesses are calling for a reasonable pricing policy to avoid a negative image and to ensure added value for guests.
  • Coordination with the state: An active role by the Ministry of Tourism is necessary to resolve logistical challenges and facilitate the visa regime for those working in the sector.

The Burgas region has a vast accommodation base, including over 150,000 beds near Sunny Beach, which provides the capacity for the large-scale event. The organizing committee in Burgas is already working together with local businesses to create an unforgettable experience for guests.

The contest will take place on May 11 and 13 (semi-finals) and May 15, 2027 (final), placing Burgas and Bulgaria at the center of European attention.

Евала! Наистина ли Бургас ще е домакин? Ще стане ли голямо нещо, или пак ще се провалим някъде по средата? Дано да се стегнат от БХРА този път и да покажат България с ху
