The Municipality of Burgas invites all connoisseurs of art and literature to join two special film evenings. The screenings are scheduled for August 25 and 26, starting promptly at 8:30 PM. The events will take place outdoors at the iconic "The Snail" stage, and admission is completely free for everyone who wishes to enjoy cinema under the stars.

The selected program highlights two remarkable contemporary screen adaptations of world-famous literary classics:

  • On August 25, the film "The Master and Margarita," directed by Michael Lockshin, will be screened. The production is based on the novel of the same name by Mikhail Bulgakov—a work recognized as one of the most significant masterpieces of the 20th century. The film offers a large-scale and visually stunning interpretation, combining drama, fantasy, romance, and satire. The film unfolds the story of the Master and Margarita, intertwining it with the arrival of the mysterious Woland and his strange entourage; the leading roles feature August Diehl, Yulia Snigir, and Yevgeny Tsyganov.
  • On August 26, the program continues with "Onegin," directed by Sarik Andreasyan. This is a romantic drama based on the immortal novel in verse "Eugene Onegin" by Alexander Pushkin. The film follows the complex relationships between the characters Eugene Onegin, Tatyana, and Vladimir Lensky, focusing on themes of friendship, love, missed opportunities, and life-altering decisions. The cast includes Victor Dobronravov, Liza Moryak, and Denis Prytkov, who bring the classic story to the screen through the modern language of cinema.

A special guest for both evenings will be Mr. Yastreba. He will serve as the host, introducing attendees to the world of cinema through an in-depth conversation about the connection between literary source materials and their adaptations. The discussions will cover both directorial choices and acting performances, giving the audience an opportunity to view beloved stories through a completely different lens.

These two evenings promise a true cultural experience, uniting great literary works and the art of cinema outdoors in the heart of Burgas.
