On June 2, in the village of Zadunayevka, Odessa region, Ukraine, a solemn event dedicated to the Day of Botev and the fallen for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria took place. The event was held in the presence of the Consul of the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as other official guests and representatives of the local authorities. Students and teachers from the local Bulgarian school enthusiastically participated in the ceremony, with which they paid tribute to Hristo Botev - the great Bulgarian poet and revolutionary. During the event, poems, songs and moving words dedicated to Botev's life and heroism were heard. The Consul greeted the students and emphasized the importance of such events for preserving the national identity of Bulgarians in Ukraine.
