Bulgaria and Moldova deepen cooperation in energy and the EU

Dialogue between Chisinau and Sofia on the European future

The Prime Minister of Moldova held a key phone conversation with her Bulgarian counterpart, focusing on deepening bilateral relations. The main topics included Moldova's European path and the sharing of valuable experience by Bulgaria in the EU accession process.

"We thank Bulgaria for its support on our path toward European integration," emphasized the government in Chisinau.

Cultural ties and administrative reforms

During the conversation, the role of the Bulgarian community in Moldova as a bridge between the two countries was highlighted. The authorities reaffirmed their commitment to preserving its linguistic and cultural identity. The Bulgarian side also expressed support for the ongoing local public administration reform in Moldova, aimed at consolidating municipalities.
