The sports giant Nike has announced a significant update to its Nike Run Club (NRC) app, introducing two key new features aimed at improving the safety and preparation of runners. The first new feature provides detailed information on weather conditions - temperature, precipitation, and solar activity - before the start of the workout, based on the user's current location. The goal is to help runners prepare appropriately by avoiding unsuitable clothing or unfavorable weather for running.
The second innovation allows sharing of the runner's real-time position through a unique link that can be sent to loved ones or coaches. After the end of the workout, the app automatically informs the recipients that the user has safely finished the run. This feature is particularly useful for solo runners, groups, and supporting loved ones.
The new features are now active in over 160 countries and in 11 language versions of the app, available for both iOS and Android.
