The book by Burgas poetess Natalia Nedyalkova - "On the Eve of February 31st" will be presented on October 7th within the framework of the Autumn Literary Festivals in Burgas. The premiere of the long-awaited poetic work will take place at the Writers' House at 6:00 PM. Interest in the event is expected to be high, as the book has already attracted the attention of literary circles.
In the spring of this year, Natalia Nedyalkova's manuscript, which remained anonymous during the competition, won funding from the municipal fund "Culture". This decision was made after a three-member expert commission gave a high rating to the poetic work, noting its artistic value. The publication of the book has been entrusted to the Burgas publishing house "Libra Skorp". The editor of the edition is Roza Boyanova, and the reviewer is Emil Basat. The visual design is handled by the Slovak poet Erik Ondrejicka, who is the author of the illustrations, and Petra Limoza (Petya Staneva), who is responsible for the graphic design.
On the eve of the premiere, cultural journalist and literary critic Emil Basat shared his opinion on the upcoming edition: "In her new book, the poetess brings us closer to the unusual, the unexpected, the unsuspected richness of language". His words herald an exciting literary journey for readers.
A review of the book is also provided by literary critic Georgi Nikolov, who emphasizes the importance of the word in Nedyalkova's poetry: "A faithful shield and an illuminated banner in Natalia Nedyalkova's creative march towards the restless universe is the word. Carrying illuminated light in the poems, it remains true to its biblical archetype. But now, in the state of the 21st century - it is also refracted through the prism of modern intellectual genesis".
For the Croatian poet Damir Maras, whose translation of the book is forthcoming, the poetic collection is a deeply introspective, philosophical and linguistically rich work. He notes that "The poetic collection "On the Eve of February 31st" is a deeply introspective, philosophical and linguistically rich book. It is for readers who appreciate poetry that provokes, asks questions and explores deep philosophical themes. This is poetry that does not lead you by the hand, but challenges you to seek meaning yourself, "between the lines"."
