Heating in Burgas will be switched on from tomorrow, district heating company Toplofikatsia said on its website. Kindergartens, hospitals and schools will get heat first, followed by homes.

Last Thursday, Toplofikatsia chief executive Nikolay Batlev said repairs were finished and the network was ready. The company says it is turning on the heat because average daily temperatures have fallen and the long-term weather forecast is unfavourable.

Home heating systems must be filled with the valves open on the radiators and on the thermostats of all heaters in the flats.
