Around 10,000 servings of baked fish and 4,000 servings of a traditional dish (kurbaan) will be distributed this St. Nicholas Day in Burgas.

For this purpose, Burgas Municipality has provided 2 tons of fish, which will be baked by the teams of the Home Social Patronage.

Around 800 kg of fish have also been donated by various companies. It will be used for the preparation of the traditional dish (kurbaan). The responsible task of cooking the delicious fish soup in front of the people of Burgas is again entrusted to the chefs from the Naval Base Atia. 

At 11:00 am in the garden next to the Clock, the St. Nicholas ritual table will be consecrated, after which a St. Nicholas concert and distribution of the traditional St. Nicholas fish kurbaan will begin at several locations in the city – near the Clock, at the Compass, in “Veleka” park in the residential complex “Izgrev”, in the quarter “Kraymorie”, and from 12:00 pm in the park area between bl. 46 and 51 in the residential complex “Meden Rudnik”. In the cultural and tourist complex "Chengene Skele" the distribution of the kurbaan will start at 13:15.

Burgas Municipality will provide portions of fish and kurbaan for all constituent settlements as well. The distribution there is organized by the mayors' representatives.

Traditionally, users of the Home Social Patronage – Burgas will also receive a free portion of fish soup and grilled fish on St. Nicholas Day.
