Today and tomorrow, 150 young people from 27 student companies from all over the country will present their innovative business ideas at the youth business forum "Rising Stars" at the Expo Center "Flora" in Burgas. The event is organized by Junior Achievement Bulgaria (JA Bulgaria) with the assistance of the Municipality of Burgas.
During the opening of the forum, the Deputy Mayor for Education, Health, Social Activities and Youth Policies in the Municipality of Burgas, Mihail Nenov, wished the participants to create new friendships and their dreams and projects to become a reality by creating their own business, jobs, and improving the lives of all. Alexandra Kishisheva, Director of Organizational Development at Junior Achievement Bulgaria, also wished them success and the ability to do something meaningful and useful for themselves and others when they encounter problems.
It became clear that 71% of the participants in the "Rising Stars" business forum start their own business, and 50% of them never remain unemployed. This year, over 1,000 participants have taken part in the regional competitions to reach the national forum.
The main focus of the forum's program will be the presentations of the student projects, followed by an outdoor exhibition on the second day, where visitors will be able to view the developed products and solutions. The exhibition will turn the event into a genuine youth entrepreneurship festival.
On Saturday, May 31, from 10:00 to 13:00, the trade exhibition will be held, and the afternoon program will continue in the "East" hall of the Burgas Free University. At 14:00, a panel of presentations will be held, and from 16:00 to 17:00, the awarded teams will be announced, and the forum will be officially closed. The winning student company will represent Bulgaria at the European Student Company Competition GEN-E in July in Athens, Greece.
The forum is organized with the support of the Municipality of Burgas, Burgas Youth Center, UniCredit Foundation, Schneider Electric Bulgaria, MetLife Bulgaria, SAP, EIT Food, Burgas Free University, and Expo Center "Flora".
