A grain depot in the Vetren district of Burgas, owned by Pirgos Agro, is being sold at public auction. A notice from private bailiff Delyan Nikolov puts the starting valuation at more than €1.6m.

It is the third attempt to sell the property in the enforcement case. The property is mortgaged to Eurobank Bulgaria, and the proceedings list other encumbrances on it.

Bidding runs from 7 November to 7 December 2026.

The site covers 9,670 sq m and has six farm buildings, three Italian-made metal silos with temperature control and ventilation, and an elevator tower that handles about 100 tonnes an hour. The depot receives, stores and loads grain, including straight onto trucks.

It was built to handle large amounts of grain. Different parts of it went into operation in two stages, in 2013 and 2015.

Pirgos Agro is owned by two businessmen. Founded in Burgas in 2000, the firm has worked in farming for more than 25 years. It produces and trades seed, processes and exports grain, and is the exclusive representative in Bulgaria of the Serbian institute NS Seme of Novi Sad.

By its own account, the company has 20 distributors in Bulgaria, silos for 15,000 tonnes, 4,000 sq m of warehouses and its own seed processing centre.
