On September 26, 2026, the Mladost Arena in Burgas will host the World Junior Under-19 Championship in 10 Dance and the European Under-21 Championship in Standard Dance. For the first time in the sport's history, the two championships will take place simultaneously, as part of a single event.

The event is being organized by two of the city's leading clubs – Dance Sport Club Burgas, headed by Yavor Valchev, and Dance Sport Club Burgas 1975, headed by Andrey Todorov. Their goal is to make Burgas the host of the biggest dance sport event in Bulgaria in 2026 and to establish the country as a sought-after destination for international championships.

Burgas is hosting the World Junior Under-19 Championship in 10 Dance for the second consecutive year. This time it will be joined by the European Under-21 Championship in Standard Dance, which is being held in Bulgaria for the first time. So far, more than 400 competitors have registered for the two competition days, and an international tournament is also scheduled for September 27.

In the junior under-19 category, Bulgaria will be represented by Kristian Donchev and Martina Kondaklieva. After a strong season that included wins at the toughest international tournaments in their age group, the pair will be fighting for gold at the World 10 Dance Championship in front of a home crowd.

In the European Under-21 Standard Dance Championship, Bulgaria's title holders Artur Vlasenko and Ivelina Karcheva will be defending their crown. Last year the couple achieved a historic fourth place at the European Championship in this category, and now they are aiming for a medal at the continental event.

The organizers are expecting strong interest and hope the Mladost Arena will be packed with fans supporting the national competitors.

The official opening ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 26, at 7:00 PM at the Mladost Arena, featuring a formal parade of the national flags of all participating countries. On September 27, the sporting celebration continues with an international dance sport tournament.
