BCCI Announces Euro Prices Before the Deadline

On the eve of Bulgaria's full membership in the Eurozone, the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) takes a proactive stance on currency transformation. The institution announces the prices of its services in euros significantly earlier than the legally defined deadline of August 8, 2025.

The legal framework governing this process is outlined in Article 15, Paragraph 2 of the Law on the Introduction of the Euro in the Republic of Bulgaria. According to the regulatory document, the period of parallel price marking begins one month after the official decision to adopt the euro - specifically from July 8, 2025.

A key point in BCCI's communication strategy is complete transparency. All double-marked prices are publicly accessible on the organization's official website - www.bcci.bg, and are detailed in each field of the respective services.

The period of parallel price presentation will continue for a total of 12 months from the date of the official introduction of the euro in Bulgaria. This step aims to ensure a maximally smooth and painless transition for businesses and citizens.

At the time of the announcement (21.07.2025), the official exchange rates are: 1 US dollar is equivalent to 1.67638 leva, 1 British pound to 2.25951 leva, and 1 Swiss franc to 2.09740 leva.

Parallel to this initiative, BCCI continues to develop active work in various directions. Recent initiatives include company surveys, international meetings, and projects to support businesses, including those related to intern mobility and migrant integration.

Among the highlights of the chamber's activities in the past month are international contacts - discussing trade opportunities with Taiwan, a meeting with the trade advisor in Ankara, as well as participation in European projects for industrial and social dialogue.

This proactive position of BCCI demonstrates the readiness of Bulgarian business institutions for the upcoming economic transformations related to the adoption of the euro.
