The Bulgarian Minister of Foreign Affairs opens the first Bulgarian higher education institution in Moldova.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria, Georgi Georgiev, officially opened a branch of the Ruse University "Angel Kanchev" in the city of Taraclia, Moldova. This is the first Bulgarian higher education institution outside the country that will provide access to quality European education to an increasing number of young people from the Bulgarian minority in Moldova.
Burgas celebrates May 24 - Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture
Thousands of children, students, clergy, and cultural figures took part in a large-scale procession in Burgas to mark the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius and the Bulgarian alphabet, education, and culture. The celebration also included a solemn concert, an exhibition of local artists, and other cultural initiatives.
International partnership between Bulgarian and Turkish schools strengthens pedagogical cooperation
On May 19, 2025, a meeting was held between OU "St. Kliment Ohridski" - Burgas and OU "Atatürk" - Kırklareli, Turkey. The event was part of a project for exchanging experience and establishing good practices between the two educational institutions. Teachers from Bulgaria and Turkey discussed curricula, shared teaching methods, and visited classes at the partner school.
A new modern school will open in the "Kraimorie" neighborhood in 2026.
Construction of a new primary school has begun in the rapidly developing Kraymoriye neighborhood in Burgas. The school will be a branch of the OY "Alexander Georgiev - Kodzhakafaliyata" and will teach students from grades 1 to 7. The building will be extremely modern and with a number of contemporary facilities, and the construction has taken into account the proximity of the sea and strong winds.
