FSC Trains Students Online on Financial Literacy, Including the Introduction of the Euro

The Financial Supervision Commission (FSC) will hold an online webinar for students on November 26 and 27 to increase financial literacy. FSC experts will train young people on pensions, insurance, and personal finance management.

The campaign is part of the commission's efforts to increase financial literacy, with a special focus on young people.

This year's focus will be the upcoming introduction of the euro and its effect on the non-banking financial sector. Students will learn how the FSC monitors companies to ensure stability.

The training is aimed at increasing knowledge of financial products and services and the associated risks. There will be questionnaires to assess knowledge.

The initiative is part of the action plan towards the FSC Strategy 2025-2027 and began in 2022. Seminars have been held in various high schools, and in 2023 and 2024 the training expanded nationally.

Vasil Golemanski, Chairman of the FSC, commented that the goal is to provide knowledge and skills for the rational use of financial products and to build a financial culture. Increasing financial literacy is a key priority for the FSC.
