During the last 24 hours, four thefts and one other criminal offense have been reported in Burgas. The police have uncovered a total of nine crimes, two of which are related to the possession and use of narcotic substances.
A Karnobat incident with an electric vehicle resulted in serious injuries for a 10-year-old child.
On May 25 in Karnobat, a 33-year-old man driving an electric vehicle with a 10-year-old child on board lost control of the vehicle, resulting in both of them falling to the ground. The child was admitted to the intensive care unit with a life-threatening skull fracture. The driver was tested for alcohol and drugs, but the results were negative.

An accident on the road between Byala Slatina and Knezha led to a collision between a heavy-duty vehicle and a passenger car. There are injured persons who have been taken to the hospital. The cause of the incident was a speed that was not adapted to the road conditions.
A car accident in the Karnobat region ended with minor injuries.
On May 22 this year, around 2:50 pm, in the area of the 88th kilometer on the road between Karnobat and Shumen, in the municipality of Karnobat, a Toyota Yaris 1.0 I passenger car with Burgas registration, driven by a 72-year-old man from the village of Lozarevo, collided with a roadside tree after losing control. The injured driver was admitted for treatment at the "Virgin Mary" hospital with a lumbar spine injury, but without danger to life.
Accident on Trakia Motorway with material damage and minor injuries
On May 21 this year, in the area of the 358th kilometer of the Trakia highway in the direction of Burgas, a Volkswagen Golf with a Shumen registration, driven by a 41-year-old man from Koinare, Pleven region, hit the left and right guardrails consecutively, causing material damage to the road infrastructure. A 24-year-old passenger was injured and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Mass sanctions for abuse of the National Emergency Call System 112
Over 200 citizens have been penalized with fines for submitting false signals and prank calls to the 112 phone number in the period October 2024 - April 2025. The sanctions were imposed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs in order to prevent the blocking of emergency lines and the waste of resources.
