Hunting tourism in Bulgaria generates over 3.8 million euros in revenue

Over 4400 Bulgarian and foreign hunters have hunted through organized hunting tourism. These activities, realized in 2025, have generated revenue of nearly 3.8 million euros. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, Eng. Nikolay Vasilev, during the official opening of the International Exhibition 'Nature. Hunting. Fishing' and the Specialized Exhibition 'Colorful Spring' at the Plovdiv International Fair. 

Eng. Vasilev pointed out that the exhibitions present the most modern and innovative solutions for the conservation and development of natural resources, for the rational and responsible use of national natural wealth. According to him, the exhibition 'Nature. Hunting. Fishing' allows specialists in forestry, hunting, and fishing from the state, municipal, and private sectors to exchange opinions and ideas and to share good practices. 

'State hunting farms in particular clearly demonstrate the excellent exterior and trophy qualities of the game and the uniqueness of Bulgarian nature. The analysis shows that in all hunting economic areas in the past year there are stable game populations. Bulgaria remains a leader in terms of the trophy qualities of the game, which gives us reason to initiate talks on organizing a world Expo in 2031,' the Deputy Minister also stated.
