Senior representatives of the executive and legislative branches held a large-scale expert meeting dedicated to the strategic development of mountain tourism in Bulgaria. Ministers Miroslav Borshosh and Ivan Peshev, together with Parliamentary Speaker Nikolay Nankov, gathered leading specialists from various institutions and industry organizations.

During the working meeting, key challenges for modernizing mountain infrastructure were discussed. Participants included leading experts such as Lachezar Lazarov from the Bulgarian Tourist Union and architect Petar Dikov from the Union of Architects in Bulgaria.

A key focus of the discussion was the need for coordinated actions to improve tourist conditions. Experts reached a consensus on the urgent need for a comprehensive legislative framework to regulate the sustainable development of mountain regions.

Minister Borshosh emphasized the strategic importance of the initiative: "Our main goal is to make mountain tourism more accessible and environmentally friendly. We will combine nature conservation with opportunities for active recreation and sports."

Nikolay Nankov, for his part, highlighted the critical importance of quick and coordinated actions. "Previous inaction has led to serious lag. Mountains are a national resource that must be developed strategically and responsibly," he stated.

Minister Peshev focused on a specific priority facility - the National Ski Base "Vitosha", defining it as a strategically important center for winter sports and tourism development. He emphasized the need for modern infrastructure that attracts both Bulgarian and foreign tourists.

At the end of the meeting, participants agreed that the received proposals would be systematized and submitted to the National Assembly. The goal is to create a comprehensive legislative mechanism for sustainable development of mountain areas.
