Returning to the roots: A new book by a Bulgarian author living in France inspires the youth

Today, at the Expo Center "Flora", the new book by the Bulgarian writer Božidar Čekov, who has been living in France for years, will be presented. The author shares that his work sends a strong message to young people who go abroad to study, not to forget their roots.

Bozhidar Chekov, born in Lom, is an author whose creative career has gone through various stages. At an early age, he moved to Sofia, where he graduated from the Polygraphic Technical School. His first publications were in newspapers such as "Trudovo delo", "Narodna mladezh" and "Narodna armiya". He was noticed in 1966 when at the age of 10 he became the youngest author published in the month of the Bulgarian short story.

A boxer in his youth, Chekov managed to escape to France after the occupation of Czechoslovakia by the USSR. There he graduated from the Polygraphic Institute in Paris and worked in the press and paper industry for more than 40 years. Repeatedly awarded for his civic activities and successful career, he has been elected as a lay judge and recipient of a gold medal for "Honesty and Labor".

In Bulgaria, Chekov has publications in almost all newspapers and most visited websites, and for 10 years he was a correspondent for the magazine "Tema". Today, his new book "Ticket for Return" will be presented to the public, and the author shares that it has a strong message for young people who go abroad to study - not to forget their roots.
