Weather tomorrow: Cold wind and rain will cause temperatures to drop sharply

Dynamic weather with precipitation and thunderstorms

Overnight, cloudiness across the country will remain significant, with precipitation in many places. Temporarily intense downpours accompanied by thunderstorms are expected in Northeastern Bulgaria. After midnight, a temporary cessation of rain from the southwest and a break in the clouds are expected.

The wind will intensify, becoming temporarily strong in the Danubian Plain and the Upper Thracian Plain, bringing cooler air.

Regional forecast

• Temperatures: A significant drop is expected. Maximum values tomorrow will be between 14° and 16° in Western and Northeastern Bulgaria, up to 20°-22° in the Upper Thracian Plain. In Sofia, the thermometers will show around 14°.
• Black Sea coast: Cloudy, with rain and thunderstorms. The seawater temperature remains between 13° and 17°, and the sea state reaches 3-4 on the Douglas scale.
• Mountains: A deterioration in weather is expected. Above 1800 meters, rain will turn into snow, and at 2000 meters, the temperature will be only about 3°.

What to expect during the new week?

At the beginning of the week, it will remain windy, but with less precipitation. On Tuesday, the wind will weaken, but in the afternoon hours in Southern Bulgaria, the development of cumulonimbus clouds with new showers and thunderstorms is expected.
