Weather tomorrow: Cloudy and rainy, snow in the mountains

During the night, the cloud cover over the country will increase, and tomorrow will be cloudy. In the morning in Western Bulgaria, rain will begin, which will cover almost the whole country by the evening, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) announced. Snow will fall in the high parts of the mountains. In many places, the precipitation will be accompanied by thunderstorms and, mainly in Western Bulgaria and the mountainous regions, significant in quantity. A moderate, and in the Danube plain and the Upper Thracian lowland, temporarily strong easterly wind will blow. Minimum temperatures will be between 4° and 9°, for Sofia –  around 6°, maximums in most places - between 11° and 16°, for Sofia – around 12°.

The atmospheric pressure will remain significantly lower than the monthly average.

Cloudy weather will prevail on the Black Sea coast. After noon, it will rain on the Southern Black Sea coast, and in the evening also on the Northern Black Sea coast. A moderate easterly wind will blow. The maximum temperatures will be around 9°. The sea water temperature is 7°-9°. The sea swell will be 2-3 points.  It will be cloudy in the mountains. There will be snowfall in places above 1400 meters above sea level, and rain will fall in the lower parts. A strong and gusty wind will blow from the south-southeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 4°, at 2000 meters – around minus 2°.                      During the weekend, it will remain mostly cloudy with precipitation. With the decrease in temperatures and in the lower mountain areas in Western Bulgaria, the rain will mix or temporarily turn into snow, without a snow cover. There is an increased probability on Sunday in the eastern half of the country that the precipitation will be significant in quantity. On Sunday, a moderate northwesterly wind will blow.
