Tomorrow's Weather: Heavy Precipitation, Snow in the Mountains, and Warming Trend for the Weekend

Cloudy weather will prevail over the next 24 hours, reports the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH). During the night and tomorrow before noon in places, mainly in Southern Bulgaria and the mountain regions, there will be intermittent rain, in the higher parts of the mountains – snow.

In the afternoon, under the influence of a Mediterranean cyclone from the southwest, prolonged rainfall will begin. During the night the wind will weaken and will turn from east-northeast and tomorrow it will be moderate. The minimum temperatures will be between 3° and 8°, for Sofia – around 4°, the maximum - between 10° and 15°, for Sofia – around 10°. Atmospheric pressure is and will remain below the monthly average.

Over the Black Sea coast the cloudiness will be significant. Before noon over the northern coast there will be more sunny hours. A moderate wind will blow from the east-northeast. The maximum temperatures will be 10°-11°. The sea water temperature is 8°-9°. The sea swell will be around 2 Beaufort.

It will be cloudy in the mountains. There will be precipitation in many places, more prolonged during the second half of the day. In places above 1300 meters above sea level the precipitation will be snow. A strong wind will blow from the east-southeast. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 5°, at 2000 meters – around minus 1°.

During the night towards Thursday the rainfall will cover the whole country, and will continue on Thursday. Significant in quantity will be in Southern Bulgaria and the mountains. The wind from the northeast will temporarily intensify. The minimum temperatures will be between 3° and 8°, and the maximum - between 7° and 12°. On Friday it will remain cloudy with rainfall, but weaker and with longer interruptions. The wind will weaken, for a short time it will be with a southern component, and subsequently it will turn from west-northwest. Daytime temperatures will rise and the maximums will be between 12° and 17°.
