Weather Tomorrow: Rain, Colder Temperatures and Broken Clouds

During the night, the cloud cover over most of the country will be significant, and in some places, mainly in the eastern half, there will be rainfall. Atmospheric pressure is below average for the month and will decrease slightly further.

Over the southwestern and northwestern regions, the cloud cover will be broken. A weak to moderate wind will blow from the west-northwest in the Danube plain. Minimum temperatures will be between 0° and 5°, slightly higher in the southeastern regions and along the Black Sea coast, in Sofia – around 1°.

Tomorrow, after a temporary cessation of rainfall and a more significant break in the cloud cover, in the afternoon hours from the south, it will increase again and rain will fall. The weather in Northern Bulgaria will be without rain and with more sunny hours. A weak to moderate northwesterly wind will blow in the Danube plain. Maximum temperatures will be mainly between 10° and 15°, in Sofia – around 11°.

Over the Black Sea coast, the cloud cover will be more often significant, along the southern coast in the afternoon hours with rainfall. There will be more sunny hours along the Northern Black Sea coast. A weak to moderate wind from the west-northwest will blow along the northern coast, which will shift from the south-southeast in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures will be between 10° and 13°. The sea water temperature is 8°-9°. The sea swell will be 1-2 points.

Over the mountains, the cloud cover will be significant. In the afternoon, rain will start from the south, above 1200 meters – snow. A moderate northwesterly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 3°, at 2000 meters – around minus 2°.

On Wednesday morning, the rainfall will temporarily stop again, but it will remain cloudy. In the afternoon, rain will fall from the south, in the mountains above 1200 m - snow. A weak to moderate easterly wind will blow. During the night against Thursday, the rainfall will cover the whole country, significant in quantity will be in Southern Bulgaria and the mountainous regions. The wind will shift from the northwest, with it a little colder air will penetrate, and in the lower mountain areas - above about 700-800 m, the rain will mix or turn into snow. On Thursday afternoon, the rainfall will weaken, and in many areas it will stop. Minimum temperatures will be between 3° and 8°, and maximums - between 10° and 15°, lower in the high fields in Western Bulgaria and the Pre-Balkan Mountains.
