Dynamic weather with thunderstorms

After a short break overnight, the atmospheric conditions over the country are deteriorating again. The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) predicts an activation of the unstable air mass, which will bring intense rainfall and thunderstorms.

Watch out for hail: Intense phenomena are expected primarily in Western and Central Bulgaria.

Regional forecast:

• Inland: We expect cumulonimbus clouds with rainfall that will cover almost the entire territory by the end of the day. Maximum temperatures will range between 22° and 27°.
• Black Sea coast: It will be sunny before noon, but showers and thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon. The sea water temperature is 19°, with a sea state of 2-3.
• Mountains: Danger of hail and strong storms, especially in the massifs of Western Bulgaria and the Central Balkan Range.

On Friday and Saturday, the unstable weather will continue. A warming to 30° is expected, but the afternoon hours will again be marked by thunderstorms, with the most intense phenomena occurring on Saturday.
