Minister of Agriculture and Food Plamen Abrovski issued an urgent appeal to citizens for increased vigilance and responsible behavior. The reason is the extremely high risk of fires, which threatens forest territories.

During a joint inspection of the bypass road of the town of Kresna, Minister Abrovski and the Minister of Regional Development Ivan Shishkov raised an alarm about the dire situation. Over the past 24 hours, 10 major fires have been registered, and teams are continuing to work on assessing the damage.

"Please do not throw your cigarettes out of windows, because in the vast majority, all these fires have arisen from human error," the minister stated.
