Vetprom seeks highly qualified specialists for expansion

The Radomir pharmaceutical company "Vetprom" announced the recruitment of a wide range of specialists for its production. The company is looking for chemists, biologists, technologists, engineers, as well as quality assurance and validation experts. This was announced by the company's management in an exclusive interview for our agency.

shared "Vetprom". In addition to highly qualified specialists, the company is also looking for employees for lower positions in production, including machine operators and technicians.

For senior positions, "Vetprom" requires candidates to have a bachelor's or master's degree in chemistry, biology, pharmacy, biotechnology, or related sciences. For engineering positions, specialists with education in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering are sought.

The company emphasizes that proficiency in English and Russian, experience in the pharmaceutical industry, and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) rules are additional advantages for candidates.

For production positions, a completed secondary or vocational education, discipline, and the ability to adhere to strict rules and norms are required. Candidates must also possess technical skills to work with modern equipment.

History and Development of Vetprom

"Vetprom" has a rich history dating back to the 1940s. In 1956, the company began industrial production of veterinary medicines, and in 1991 it was transformed into a state-owned company. In 2014, "Vetprom" was acquired by the pharmaceutical holding company Danhson, which led to significant investments in modernization and expansion of production.

Today, "Vetprom" is among the leading manufacturers of human and veterinary medicines in Bulgaria, with a portfolio of over 100 products and 44 own trademarks. The company exports products not only to the Bulgarian market but also to Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic States, and Western Europe.

State Initiatives to Attract Talent

This initiative by "Vetprom" coincides with government efforts to attract qualified personnel to smaller towns. Recently, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP) announced the "Choose Bulgaria" measure, aimed at Bulgarians returning from abroad and those wishing to move to smaller cities.

Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Natalia Efremova explained that the program has two components:

• The first is aimed at attracting Bulgarian citizens who have lived abroad for the last 12 out of 18 months or have recently completed their education abroad.
• The second component aims to encourage people living in Bulgaria to start working in a settlement with less than 50,000 inhabitants.

These initiatives show the growing efforts of both the private sector and the state to stimulate economic development and create jobs in smaller cities in Bulgaria.
