Multi-vehicle accident on the "Industrialna" overpass in Burgas

A serious traffic accident has blocked traffic in Burgas. A 35-year-old woman from Ruse was injured in a multi-vehicle pile-up involving four cars. The incident occurred on June 23 in the area of the overpass on "Industrialna" Street in the direction of "Ivan Vazov" Boulevard.

According to the Ministry of Interior, the cause of the accident was the excessive speed of a driver from Razgrad.

How did the accident happen?

  • A Kia Sorento (Razgrad) hit a slowing Peugeot 3008 (Ruse).
  • As a result of the impact, the Peugeot hit a Volkswagen Touran (Varna).
  • A Kia Sportage (Sofia) was at the very front and was also involved in the collision.

The injured woman was a passenger in the back seat of the Peugeot. She suffered a broken vertebra and a fractured rib and has been admitted for treatment in the neurosurgery ward of the "Heart and Brain" hospital. Fortunately, her life is not in danger.
