A Ukrainian citizen residing in Burgas has been detained for up to 24 hours following a police check in the Slaveykov residential complex. Around 5:40 p.m. yesterday, officers from the Specialized Police Forces sector spotted two young men near block 44, the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior reported.

Upon the arrival of the uniformed officers, one of the individuals threw a small case onto the sidewalk. It was determined that the perpetrator is a Ukrainian national, while the person accompanying him is a 22-year-old man from the village of Zidarovo, near Sozopol. During the inspection of the discarded case, police officers found an electronic scale, a glass pipe, and a white powdery substance identified as methamphetamine, weighing approximately 4 grams.

A fast-track police investigation into the case has been initiated.
